Lions fall 4-0 to West Texas A&M

Joplin, Mo.. -- Daniel Bulley scored two first half goals and Jacob Jensen added two more scores in the second half to give the West Texas A&M Buffs a 4-0 victory over the Missouri Southern Lions in Southwest Soccer Conference action Friday night (Oct. 13) at Hal Bodon Field.

The Buffs (6-5-3, 3-2-1 SSC) didn't waste any time jumping on top, as the first of Bulley's goals came just 7:51 into the first half off of assists from Itamar Keinan and Bradley Sanderson. 

Bulley found the net again in the 29th minute off a Tommy Nutter helper to give WTAMU a two-goal halftime lead.

Jensen scored his first goal 13:45 into the second half with the help of an assist from Kenneth Christensen to put the Buffs up 3-0. 

Jensen then finished the scoring with 4:14 left in the match off an assist from Freddy Montes.

The Buffs out-shot the Lions 16-7 overall, with a decisive edge in shots-on-goal, 9-1.

Jared Prater (Springfield, Mo.) led the Lions with three shot-attempts.

Goalkeeper Travis Haight (Sioux Falls, S.D.) made five saves for the Lions (3-9-2, 0-6-0 SSC), while J.J. Craddock stopped one shot for the Buffs.

Missouri Southern will continue action in the SSC by hosting Eastern New Mexico Sunday afternoon (Oct. 15) at 3 p.m.
