FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Two Lions selected to All-Region team Odessa, Texas -- Seniors Ryan Morris (Topeka, Kan.) and Blake Wright (Conway, Ark.) earned spots on the Daktronics All-Region second-team squad that was announced last night (Nov. 13). Morris recorded one goal and gave valuable senior leadership on a defensive unit that posted three shutouts this season. During his four-year career, Morris has had a hand in 14 shutouts. Wright has been a mainstay in the Lions' lineup since arriving on campus in 2004. Wright has played in all 72 matches, with 71 starts and has been a solid defender for the Lions throughout his playing career. Like Morris, Wright was also a key element for a defensive unit that posted three shutouts in 2007 and 14 in his career. The Lions finished the 2007
campaign with a 4-10-2 overall record and a 1-6-2 record in the
Southwest Soccer Conference. |
