fall 3-0 at 16th ranked Midwestern State
Wichita Falls, Texas.. --
The No. 16-ranked Midwestern State Mustangs received goals from three
different players to defeat the Missouri Southern Lions 3-0 in a
Southwest Soccer Conference matchup Sunday afternoon (Sept. 16) in
Wichita Falls, Texas.
Jake Landon got the Mustangs (6-1, 2-0 SSC) going in the 14th minute
with a goal from Obed Beccera, one of two assists on the afternoon for
Becerra.
Becerra also assisted on MWSU's second goal, along with Tyler Murphy on
a goal by Daniel Brown in the 59th minute of the second half for a
two-goal Mustang advantage.
Kyle Kmiec tacked on the Mustangs' third goal with an assist from Eddie
Lett in the 68th minute of action.
Southern (2-5-1, 0-3 SSC) was out-shot 19-1 overall, with Dushan
Gorechan (Wichita, Kan.) recording the Lions' only shot of the day.
MSSU will next play on Wednesday (Sept. 19) at NAIA school John Brown
(Ark.) at 3:30 p.m. in Siloam Springs, Ark.
