Portales, NM -- Edgar Bear scored
two goals in the first half to lead the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds to
a 4-0 win over the Missouri Southern Lions in a Southwest Soccer
Conference match Sunday afternoon (Oct. 21) in Portales, N.M.
Bear's first goal came on an assist from Jared Morris in the 15th minute

again as Dreaux Plair scored off a corner kick at the 20:51 mark to put
ENMU up 2-0.
Bear added his second tally in the 27th minute off a corner kick to make
it a 3-0 lead for the Greyhounds (7-8-1, 2-4-1 SSC).
Donnel Jackson finished the scoring for ENMU with a score in the 64th
minute with an assist from Cesareo Contreras.
The shots ended up close, with the Greyhounds holding a 14-11 overall
edge and a 9-6 advantage on-goal.
Ben Pantzlaff (Omaha, Neb.) led the Lions (3-9-2, 0-5-1 SSC) with four
shots.
Jon Hansen (Wichita, Kan.) stopped five shots for Southern and Leif
Craddock recorded six saves for the Greyhounds.
The Lions will get back at it on Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 24) with an
SSC matchup at Northeastern State beginning at 3 p.m. in Tahlequah,
Okla. Southern tied NSU 1-1 earlier this year (Oct. 3) in Joplin.
