Lions fall to Truman State, 5-0

Tahlequah, Okla.
. -- The Missouri Southern men's soccer team fell victim to two own goals and lost to Truman State, 5-0 today in a game played at Northeastern State University.

The Lions (0-2) hurt themselves with two goals put past their own keeper. A penalty kick awarded to Truman late in the game made the final tally, 5-0.

Truman (2-0) out shot the Lions 18-4 as three different Bulldogs picked up a goal apiece.

Southern had shots from Austin Whiles, Greg Edmonds, Kevin Aubuchon and Sam Braverman.

The Lions are back in action this Tuesday, September 2 when they play host to John Brown at 5 pm at Hal Bodon Field.
