FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Lions fall in non-conference action at Missouri S&T, 2-0 Rolla, Mo. -- Missouri S&T used a goal at the 16 minute mark and again just two minutes into the second half to defeat the visiting Missouri Southern men's soccer team, 2-0 today in Rolla. Southern's (0-10-1) Jon Hansen had seven saves in goal for the Lions as Ben Pantzlaff led Southern with two shots. Missouri S&T's (5-4-2) Sam Shaffer got his first goal of the season just 16 minutes in off a pass from Nick Mentesana and the Miner's Nick Landon knocked in a rebound just two minutes into the second half. The Lions will be back in action on October 12 when they play host to Midwestern State at 1 pm at Hal Bodon Field. |
