FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Hansen named SSC Defensive Player of the Week Richardson, Texas - Missouri Southern goalkeeper Jon Hansen has been named the Southwest Soccer Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Wednesday (Aug. 29). Hansen was stellar in the net for Southern as the Lions went 2-0 over the weekend. Hansen posted a 0.51 goals-against-average and allowed only one goal while recording 14 saves. He recorded six saves against Delta State (Aug. 24), then made eight stops in a win over Harding (Aug. 26). Hansen currently leads the SSC in goals-against-average and saves (7.00 pg). He has also posted the conference's only shutout so far this season.
The Lions will next play a pair of matches
in Kirksville, Mo, beginning with a date vs. Missouri-Rolla on Saturday
