SHAWNEE, Kan. -- Missouri Southern's offensive woes continued Friday as its 2006 season came to a close with a pair of 4-0 losses in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Tournament.

In the opener, No. 2-ranked Emporia State got a no-hitter from Courtney Reed (23-2). Reed fanned 11 and had only one walk as the lone blemish on her otherwise perfect game.

Senior Amy Schneider (1-10) allowed eight hits and four earned runs in taking the loss. She struck out two and walked one. Senior Callie Stanford pitched three innings of one-hit relief.

The Lions only threat came in the first when freshman Angie Turner slammed a Reed offering just wide of the left field foul pole. Turner took another pitch and drew a two-out walk.

In one of two 2 p.m. elimination games, Central Missouri got two hits and three RBI from Kim Caskey. She belted a solo homer in the fourth and had a two-run double to highlight a three-run seventh for the Jennies.

Southern got two hits from leadoff batter Afton Horst, but CMSU starter DeAnna McQueen (10-6) kept the Lions at bay. Kelly Martin worked the final three innings for her fifth save of the season.

MSSU freshman Lacee Craig (12-8) struck out two and walked three in 6.2 innings. All four CMSU runs were earned. Stanford worked the final one-third of an inning.

The losses end Southern's season at 17-23.
