Lawton, Okla. -
The Missouri Southern softball team ran into a pair of outstanding pitchers today as Cameron University swept a double-header from the Lions, winning 10-1 in game one and 7-0 in game two.

Southern (7-18) scored a run off of two hits in the opener. With two runners on and two outs in the third, Trish Washburn doubled to left, scoring Whitney Clute who had walked earlier in the inning. Kelli Bax would have the other hit for the Lions in the game.

Cameron (22-14) got a two-hitter in game one from Ashton McBride and a perfect game from Carrie Harvey in game two as the Lady Aggies defeated the Lions 7-0.

Whitney Clute started and took the loss in game one, while Kelsey Williams started and took the loss in game two.

The Lions will be back in action tomorrow afternoon when they play at Central Oklahoma. Game time for the double-header is slated for 1 pm.
