Lions fall at 5th ranked Central Missouri, three games to none

Warrensburg, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern volleyball team fell in three games tonight at fifth ranked Central Missouri. Individual game scores were 12-30, 17-30 and 23-30.

Southern (9-7, 0-3 MIAA) had trouble getting any offensive momentum going against the Jennies tonight, hitting just .053 for the match.

Central (16-1, 3-0 MIAA) won its 12th consecutive match, hitting .296 for the match, including .396 in game two where the Jennies had 21 kills and just three errors.

Sarah Hoffmeister had 11 kills, while Amy Barnicle and Kari Hammerbacher each had 14 digs.

The Lions will be back in action this Friday and Saturday when they travel to Fort Hays State and Washburn.
