Lions swept on the road at Northwest Missouri

Maryville, Mo. --  The Missouri Southern volleyball team fell in three sets on the road at Northwest Missouri tonight. Individual set scores were 25-20, 25-18, and 25-19.

Southern (4-8, 0-3 MIAA) remained winless in MIAA play as hitting struggles hampered the Lions from the start.

Northwest (5-10, 2-2 MIAA) hit .255 as a team and were led by a 16 kill, .517 hitting performance from Amber Ryan.

The Lions were led by Jeanna Feldman who had 10 kills and four digs. Ashlee Russell had 11 digs, while Sarah Joles added 23 assists.

Southern will be back in action on Friday, September 26 when they play host to Truman State at 7 pm in Young Gymnasium.
