Lions drop conference match against Emporia State

Joplin, Mo  - Despite getting another win at No. 1 singles from Michelle Hall, the Missouri Southern tennis team dropped a conference match to Emporia State, 5-1 at Millennium Tennis Club.

Hall won her ninth singles match in a row and defeated her second ranked opponent of the season in ESU's Marcela Bayon. Bayon was ranked No. 50 coming into the match.

Hall remained undefeated in conference play, defeating Bayon, 6-4, 6-3. She moved her overall record to 10-2 on the season.

The Lions fall to 4-7 on the year and 3-2 in the MIAA, while Emporia State moves to 10-2, and 4-1 in the conference.
