FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Hall was seeded fifth in singles play coming into the tournament and swept through her first four matches, not losing a single set. She defeated Sarah Madigan of Minnesota State (6-1, 6-2) in the first round and won 6-1, 6-0 against Courtney Walther of Truman in round two. Hall then defeated Audrie Miller of Washburn (6-2, 6-1), while dropping just one game to SBU's Jolie Cook (6-0, 6-1). She fell in the quarters to the No. 2 seed and eventual tournament champ, Kristina Kucenov of Northwest Missouri, (6-4, 7-5). Anderson advanced into the third round with straight set wins over Kelsey Kuykendall of Truman (6-3, 6-4) and Rijalda Zejinic of South Dakota (6-2, 6-2) before losing to the tournament's no. 1 seed Diana Goldsmith of Washburn. Brittany Kockler, Ashton Lawrence and Lauren Skimbo all lost in the first round. Lawrence, however, rebounded to win three matches in the consolation bracket, while Kockler and Janelle Quesenberry won a match each in the consolation bracket. Hall and Anderson came in seeded fifth in doubles play and defeated Lipira/Pendrak of Northwest Missouri in the first round, 8-5, before sweeping Lynn/Marten of Fort Hays, 8-0 in round two. That set up a match with No. 1 seed Mayeda/Vottinelli of Mesa State in round three. Hall and Anderson wasted no time, winning 8-1, but the duo would fall in the finals, 8-5 against Villafor/Bayon of Emporia State, 8-5. The tournament wraps up the fall season for Southern.
