Lions Sweep Hastings In Dual In Florida

Vero Beach, Fla.  - The Missouri Southern women's tennis team swept NAIA Hastings College yesterday in a dual match in Vero Beach, moving the team's overall record to 4-3 on the season.

Southern (4-3) opened up doubles play with a sweep from Michelle Hall and Ashton Lawrence over Alexia Spencer and Tassi Herrick, 8-0. Kati Andersen and Brittany Kockler won their doubles match, 8-5, while Janelle Quesenberry and Lauren Skimbo defeated Amber Pierce and Steph Louson by a score of 8-1.

The Lions stepped it up in singles play as no player dropped more than three points in a set.

Southern finishes up their spring break trip in Florida with a match today at 3:30 pm against Florida Tech.
