FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Bolivar, Mo. - The Missouri Southern tennis team fell on the road today at Southwest Baptist University, 8-1. Southern moves its overall record to 6-7 and 1-3 in the MIAA, while SBU goes to 11-7 overall and 3-2 in league play. The Lions got a win at No. 1 singles from Michelle Hall as the Lee's Summit native defeated the Lady Bearcats' Jolee Cook 6-3 and 6-3. SBU, however would sweep all three doubles matches, 8-0 and drop no more than three games in a set over the final five singles matches. The Lions will return home this Friday as they play host to Northwest Missouri at 4 pm. |
